Hi, I’m Stephany – the maker, baker, and heart behind Crafts+Cooks.

As a proud military spouse, I’ve had the unique opportunity to live all over the world, from the breathtaking landscapes of Alaska and Europe to our newest home in New Jersey. Through each move and chapter, I’ve leaned into creativity — especially sewing, embroidery, and the joy of sharing homemade meals with family and friends.

Crafts +Cooks began as a way to create personalized, embroidered gifts for my two daughters. Over time, what started as a passion project has grown into a full-fledged small business offering handcrafted items and heartfelt gifts. After leaving my career as a federal civil servant during our 4,600-mile relocation, I decided to pursue what I love full-time. 

Sew What’s Next? - A Military Spouse’s Leap from Career to Creativity

In addition to handmade crafts, I will also share family-style recipes and cooking videos (eventually) through my video blog. These dishes are inspired by my Southern roots, global travels, and everyday moments in the kitchen. While I work toward getting licensed and permitted to sell baked goods locally, this blog is my way of connecting with others over comfort food and timeless recipes.
